New BoG Team Takes Office at Rawalpindi Gymkhana Club (2026)
The newly elected Board of Governors (BoG) of Rawalpindi Gymkhana Club (RGC) formally assumed office for the year 2026 during a dignified oath-taking ceremony held at the Club’s Multipurpose Hall.
The oath was administered by Engr. Aamir Khatak, Commissioner of Rawalpindi Division and Chairman of the Rawalpindi Gymkhana Club. Following the ceremony, Syed Sijjeel Haider officially took charge as Secretary RGC.
Elected Members of the 2026 Board of Governors
The Secretary was joined by the following elected members:
- Humais Khan
- Farhan Aslam
- Asfandyar Maqsood Ch.
- Imran Ali Malik
- Khalid Afsar Khan
The ceremony was attended by nominated BoG members, the outgoing Secretary, former Board members, and a large gathering of Club members, reflecting strong institutional continuity and member engagement.
Chairman’s Policy Address
In his policy address, Chairman Engr. Aamir Khatak outlined a clear mandate for the new Board. He emphasized:
- Zero tolerance towards indiscipline
- Improved governance and service delivery
- Acceleration of developmental projects
- Enhancement of overall club facilities
He also appreciated the efforts of the Election Committee for conducting a transparent and impartial electoral process.
Secretary’s Commitment
Addressing the gathering, Secretary Syed Sijjeel Haider reaffirmed his full commitment to the progress and prosperity of the Club. He highlighted the following priority areas:
- A unified and collective working approach
- Aesthetic and infrastructural improvements
- Expansion and preservation of green spaces
- Strategic planning for long-term financial self-sustainability
He reiterated his vision of strengthening RGC’s identity as a premier family-oriented institution.
The ceremony concluded on a note of appreciation as Chairman Engr. Aamir Khatak presented commemorative souvenirs to the outgoing Board of Governors in recognition of their services.
